A little bit about a Photographer
Ariadokht Jahanbakhshan is an Iranian photographer and visual artist who has been active in artistic and documentary photography for many years. She began her journey in photography more than 15 years ago with a deep passion for capturing culture, people, and untold stories through her lens.
She has published two photography books: Briny Paradise, a visual collection focused on the Salt Mountain of Bushehr Province and its unique natural landscape, and Black Roses, a documentary-based project portraying Afro-Iranian communities and their cultural identity. In 2015, Briny Paradise was selected at the Ghandoo Festival in France and received recognition among international photography audiences.
Throughout her artistic career, Ariadokht has participated in more than 50 solo and group exhibitions in Iran and different countries around the world. Her approach to photography goes beyond simply creating images; she is especially interested in research-based photography, where each project is connected to history, culture, and social identity.
She hopes her photographic collections will not only be appreciated by photography enthusiasts, but also serve as valuable visual references for researchers and individuals searching for cultural and historical insights in their own studies.
